Our advisory committee is a diverse roster of elected officials and former candidates across the country. This committee provides endorsed candidates with support, mentorship and a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s really like to run as a mama.
Ali Gordon is a mom of four, and President of the Comsewogue School District Board of Education, serving her fourth term. During her time on the Board, Ali has assisted the District in obtaining Middle States Accreditation, tripled the number of mental health supports available to students, and connected families in need to human resources. As Chairwoman of the District’s Legislative Advocacy Committee, she brings stakeholders together to advocate for pro-public education policies at the local, state, and federal levels.
Ali regularly presents at the national Network for Public Education Conference, offering strategies for successful Board of Education campaigns. Additionally, Ali speaks at community forums across Long Island to educate parents about education policy issues.
Ali is a caseworker for Suffolk County Office for the Aging and lives in Port Jefferson Station, NY. She has a B.S. in Public Administration from SUNY Empire State College.
