Our advisory committee is a diverse roster of elected officials and former candidates across the country. This committee provides endorsed candidates with support, mentorship and a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s really like to run as a mama.
Josie Raymond is the State Representative for Kentucky's 31st District. She has been a poverty journalist, a middle school teacher, a college access nonprofit director, and a higher ed student success coach. In each role, Josie's mission is to empower people left behind by unjust systems and to help share the stories of those most affected by public policy made far away. In the legislature, Josie is a leading voice on early childhood education and an advocate for moms. She has a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University, and a master of arts in teaching from Marian University. She lives in the neighborhood she grew up in in Louisville, with her husband and three children.
